At Seatec<\/b> 2024 we continue to address the issue of sustainability that is increasingly felt by industry and users, i.e. how to reduce the carbon footprint and the balance of greenhouse gas emissions on the planet.<\/p>\n
This year we are tackling a topic on the agenda, namely the production, distribution, cost and performance of HVO<\/b>, Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil, which is one of the paraffinic fuels alternative to diesel refined from petroleum, with low sulfur and aromatic content. They are derived from a variety of sources, the most common include natural gas, coal, vegetable oils and animal fats. HVO hydrotreated vegetable oil, specifically, is a diesel-like fuel that can be produced without the exploitation of fossil resources, but through the processing of renewable waste lipids (such as vegetable oil, tallow or used cooking oil, all of which consist from paraffinic hydrocarbons). It is sometimes called renewable diesel<\/b> or green diesel<\/b>.<\/p>\n
