The National Masterplan for Italian Tourist Ports was unveiled today in Rome, one of the key proposals contained in the first National Plan for Italian Tourist Ports: a strategic tool aimed at strengthening the international attractiveness of our ports and stimulating targeted investments born from the collaboration between Assonat (National Association of Tourist Ports and Docks) and Sace.<\/p>\n
The Masterplan, structured on a regional basis, will have the task of surveying and redeveloping existing infrastructures, defining common parameters for planning and restructuring. The focus will not only be on the size and type of pleasure craft hosted, but above all on environmental sustainability, logistical efficiency and the integration of ports with the surrounding urban fabric.<\/p>\n
Recognizing the growing importance of tourist ports in the national tourism system and their driving role in the coastal economy, the Plan suggests the introduction of specific incentive measures. These incentives will aim to promote the redevelopment, restructuring and possible expansion of existing port infrastructures, encouraging private and public investments.<\/p>\n
The partnership between Assonat and Sace fits into this context of renewal. The collaboration agreement is aimed at supporting the objectives of the Plan, facilitating access for companies in the sector to the insurance-financial solutions offered by Sace, and also includes joint initiatives – such as business matching meetings and dedicated operational tables – aimed at creating synergies and opportunities for operators.<\/p>\n
As underlined by Luciano Serra, president of Assonat, this Plan represents the first national strategic document dedicated to Italian tourist ports, and has highlighted the urgent need for a specific Bill on the subject, on which work is already underway.<\/p>\n
Alessandra Ricci, CEO of Sace, reiterated the importance of investing in tourist ports to make Italy more attractive. \u201cPorts are vital hubs for economic growth and for the development of supply chains and the territory, and investing in more efficient and competitive tourist ports means betting on a stronger and more attractive Italy in the eyes of the world,\u201d said Ricci, confirming Sace\u2019s commitment through the offer of integrated solutions and services under the \u201cEffetto Grow\u201d brand.<\/p>\n
The Plan was presented in the presence of prominent institutional figures, including the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Nello Musumeci, and the General Commander of the Port Authority Corps, Nicola Carlone.<\/p>\n
