THE BARCELONA BOAT SHOW GROWS TO POSITION ITSELF AMONG THE MAJOR EUROPEAN NAUTICAL EVENTS<\/p><\/h2><\/div>

The\u00a0Barcelona International Boat Show<\/a>\u00a0returns from October 8 to 12 to\u00a0Port Vell<\/strong>\u00a0with a renewed offering that positions it as a benchmark event on the European nautical scene. With more boats, larger lengths, and new premium experiences, the 2025 edition aims to attract, in addition to its traditional target audience, large buyers with high purchasing power, and also offer an exclusive space for the industry and sea lovers, with the goal of surpassing the 2023 figures: more than 240 exhibitors and 640 boats, 160 of them in the floating exhibition.<\/p>\n

Likewise, with an eye to the future, the organization is already considering creating a\u00a0new event starting in 2026<\/strong>\u00a0with the aim of attracting new audiences, facilitating access to boating and promoting the practice of sea sports. This would make it the only European show dedicated to the nautical sector with\u00a0two editions<\/strong>, one in spring and one in autumn.<\/p>\n

2025 Boat Show: an Event that sets a New Course<\/h3>\n

The new \u201cBOATIQUE<\/strong>\u201d concept encapsulates the innovative objectives that will be showcased at this upcoming edition of the Barcelona Boat Show, expanding its offering with the addition of large-scale vessels to attract a more demanding audience and consolidating its international prestige. Although Spain is a leading buyer of small boats, up to 6 meters, the important figure is that 3,535 units were registered in 2024, which represents a boost for this sales segment. The Boat Show aims to expand this segment and, in addition, focus on a high-income audience.<\/p>\n

To this end, the show will feature a selection of\u00a0sailboats, catamarans and yachts over 20 meters<\/strong>, showcasing the latest innovations in technology, sustainability, and nautical design. To host this expansion, the event is adding the Barcelona Harbour to the traditional venues of Moll la Fusta, Moll Espanya, and Marina Port Vell, allowing for a\u00a0floating exhibition of 200 boats<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0retail space of over 12,000 m\u00b2<\/strong>. In addition, an exclusive shuttle boat will connect the different docks, offering a seamless and immersive visitor experience.<\/p>\n

The president of the Boat Show,\u00a0Luis Conde<\/strong>, highlights that\u00a0\u201cwe are changing to become better, grow, raise the level of the event, and position Barcelona among the major European nautical events, without losing the spirit of an iconic event for the sector and the city\u201d.\u00a0<\/em>For his part, the event director,\u00a0Josep Antoni Llopart<\/strong>, assures that in this year\u2019s edition\u00a0\u201cwe are going to bring together the latest models from major brands and create exclusive experiences and activities to attract key buyers and professionals with the goal of boosting sales and business in the sector\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Exclusive experiences for buyers and visitors<\/h3>\n

The 2025 Boat Show strengthens its commitment to excellence with a program of\u00a050 international hosted buyers<\/strong>, ensuring the presence of major buyers in the sector. Added to this is a network of ambassadors made up of companies and yacht clubs that will promote the event in key markets such as France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.<\/p>\n

One of the main new features will be the\u00a0new 2,500 m\u00b2 Village<\/strong>\u00a0in the Portal de la Pau area, which will offer a refined high-quality gastronomic experience with a selection of top-level restaurants and culinary proposals. Visitors will also be able to enjoy networking areas, exclusive lounges, and private events to generate business opportunities.<\/p>\n

In addition, attendees will be able to take part in innovative activities such as the\u00a0Blue Tech Summit<\/strong>, which will address topics like the blue economy, digitalization and sustainability, and the\u00a0Blue Tech Safaris<\/strong>, guided routes to discover the most innovative projects in the sector in Barcelona. Also, as part of the\u00a0Ship&Tips<\/strong>\u00a0program, there will be a series of practical talks on maintenance and navigation safety.<\/p>\n

A sustainable and innovative future<\/h3>\n

The 2025 Boat Show maintains its commitment to sustainability and technology by promoting more efficient and environmentally friendly boats. In this sense,\u00a0hybrid, electric and solar-powered models<\/strong>\u00a0will be showcased, reaffirming the importance of innovation in the sector.<\/p>\n

The event will also highlight the growing trend of\u00a0nautical chartering<\/strong>, a booming alternative that allows people to enjoy boating without needing to own a boat. In this regard, new rental options will be presented, including shared boats and crewed services.<\/p>\n

With this renewed and exclusive proposal, the Barcelona International Boat Show is consolidated as a must-attend event for professionals, enthusiasts, and major buyers, offering a unique experience in the heart of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n
