Now in its 21st edition, the award that selects the best projects of the year among young yacht designers has seen two projects win ex-aequo<\/p>\n
Letizia Bandini, Marianna Di Virgilio, Maria Vittoria Iannetti, Nicol\u00f2Pizzanelli, Ginevra Tempo and Tommaso Tremolanti with the Avalon<\/b> project proposed a small luxury cruise ship with an interesting relationship between interior and exterior design. The jury appreciated the study of the external profile as a synthesis between the lines of contemporary cruise ships and superyachts.<\/p>\n
Marco Claudio Cavallo, Alessia Masiero, EnricaPezzuto, EdoardoTommasi with the ISY<\/b> project explored an original solution for living on the water for charter use. It is a floating catamaran, less than 10 meters, in which an unconventional use of volumes is applied in small spaces with an original duplex solution of the four cabins that use the lower floor to create bathrooms. The sailing rig with a bow mast placed towards the stern is consistent with the charter mode of use and provides only the jib for greater ease of use by a large public.<\/p>\n
Three special mentions were then awarded. To Omar Al-Abkal, for the Freedom in Simplicity<\/b> project, an interesting proposal for a self-built dinghy with traditional lines and materials. To Simone Borsi for the Manta 24<\/b> project, a 24-meter motoryacht with foils in which materials are applied that aim to reduce the environmental impact. To Chiara Pirovano, Vasilis Katsantonis, Louis-Charles Possover, Matteo Sgheiz and YelizYalcin of the Pourquoi Pas Team for the Polar 80<\/b> project, a 24-meter sailing vessel for exploration in extreme environments such as the poles, with original lines, in which the distribution solution is appreciated, including the internal wheelhouse and the organization of vertical flows.<\/p>\n<\/div>
