SANGIORGIO MARINE PRESENTED THE INNOVATIVE OD 45 METIS AT BOOT D\u00dcSSELDORF<\/p><\/h2><\/div>

A revolutionary 45-foot full foiling boat designed for offshore racing in double and crew. The project was presented by Edo Bianchi, CEO of the shipyard, and Gianluca Guelfi, designer of Guelfi D\u2019Angeli studio, during the event organized by Foiling World. OD 45 METIS represents a real turning point in the panorama of ocean sailing by combining cutting-edge technologies, affordable costs and unimaginable performance possibilities.<\/p>\n

Equipped with an innovative system of steerable foils connected to the bulb, inspired by the \u201cmanta foils\u201d used on Ultim-class oceanic trimarans, the METIS 45 allows for stable flight (full-foiling) even on an offshore course without the need for an active control system.<\/p>\n

The METIS 45 is intended as a link between the Class40 boats and the Imoca60, offering an innovative solution for emerging and non-emerging skippers and teams who aspire to compete in offshore and foiling events.<\/p>\n<\/div>
