The theme of the meeting: “Safety and responsibilities of crews on board yachts”
Some speakers invited will illustrate and explore all the aspects and novelties of life and work on boats and pleasure ships with the associated risks and responsibilities. “A workshop to raise awareness among seafarers (not only captains) on the risks of the profession and on safety in various aspects” asked A.Ma.Di., an association chaired by Capt. Paolo Blaffard.
Various focuses will be dedicated to regulations, legal aspects, insurance aspects and appraisals, classification societies, safety and inspectors, fire safety, weather, etc.

In addition to the topic of fires and regulatory innovations, the planned in-depth analyses will include a focus on rescues and yachting analyzed from a legal and expert point of view, examining some practical cases and identifying emergency measures and actions that, from a technical and contractual/legal point of view, should be adopted by yacht captains. An in-depth analysis will be dedicated to the topic of insurance responsibilities on board and the management of boats from a safety & security perspective (mini-ISM/SMS) also for pleasure craft under 500 gross tonnage.
After registrations scheduled for 9:30, the workshop will begin at 10:00 and will end with a networking lunch hosted in the internal courtyard of Palazzo San Giorgio.
Afterwards, immediately after lunch at 2:30 pm, it will be possible to visit the Waterfront Marina Genova (a structure with 26 moorings reserved for yachts from 25 to 110 meters in the heart of Genoa) and the Amico & Co refitting shipyard.
