5 DAYTIME LICENSE WITHIN 6 MILES D1


The decree containing the exam program for the D1 license, known as the daytime “license” within 6 miles from the coast, for powers up to 115 horsepower, strongly desired and obtained by Confindustria Nautica, which can also be issued to sixteen-year-old citizens, has been published in the Official Gazette.

The course, managed by nautical schools, must have a total duration of no less than 5 hours, be organized into lessons with mandatory attendance in person and lasting no more than 2 hours per day.

5 non-consecutive hours must be dedicated to individual practical exercises in navigation and motor maneuvers to be carried out on pleasure boats with a minimum length of 5.90 meters with an engine with a power greater than 40 horsepower.

At the end of the course, the candidate takes a final suitability test at the school, consisting of 15 quizzes selected from the subjects indicated in the exam program, which is passed if at least 12 correct answers are provided in a maximum time of thirty minutes.
