Azienda/Company: GREENSAILOR Srl
Prodotto/Product: Vernici Foul Release Greenhull, Greenprop e Greentender
At Seatec 2023, Greensailor presents a series of paints dedicated to the nautical world which address the problem of fouling the hull and its accessories according to the principle of very low clinging capacity of the fouling, due to the physical nature of the hull treated with them, and increased it ease of mechanical removal, without biocidal components, without pollutants, and therefore with a significant reduction in the environmental impact, easy to apply and durable. These are products with an acrylic matrix that have been developed for use on substrates with extremely variable characteristics of flexibility, type and surface nature, such as metal, fiberglass, wood, right up to inflatable boats. These products are entirely free from pollutants such as TBT, copper or other biocides.
The removal of the fouling is done using simple abrasive sponges or special drones. These are very durable paints, which do not require restoration or reapplication for several seasons. An ecological choice that deserved the attention of the award jury and that moves along the path already traced of a heightened sensitivity to aspects of respect for the marine environment.
Ecofoiler project (the world first recyclablefoiling dinghy) attracted the attention of the jury for the combination of different innovative elements: creation of the mold for additive manufacturing in recyclable material, use of sails in recyclable material, patented foils, patented rComposite technology for the construction of the hull and deck. The extreme attention to the environmental aspects has appeared by the construction phase at the end-of-life disposal phase through the technology called “rcomposite” in the optic of the circular economy. In extreme synthesis the construction is carried out using natural fibers and eco-sustainable thermoplastic resin. At the end of the life the R-Composite process does not produce waste as it provides for the separation of the resin from reinforcing fibers and souls with use of simple techniques (immersion for 24h in solvent also recoverable) and the subsequent re-use of both subjects.
