New And Wider Horizons

The only Italian trade fair dedicated to nautical components and to subcontracting for yachting and shipbuilding extends its thematic range to major issues

Seatec, the exhibition dedicated to technology, components, design and subcontracting applied to recreational boating, organised by CarraraFiere, reconfirms as the only event dedicated to the sector in Italy and southern Europe. Great expectations for the 15th edition, in light of the moderate optimism that still characterises the sector.

Seatec 2017 will take place from March 29 to 31. Reconfirmed the fair opening postponement after last edition’s satisfactory response, both by exhibitors and by visitors.

Since its beginnings, Seatec has always strongly encouraged and given relief to companies that produce and operate with the maximum respect for the environment, taking into account that boating is, itself, an activity that maximally needs the quality of the territory. “Green” companies will be therefore given special visibility and a “Greentec” award will be established as a recognition to the best product and environmentally friendly process.

Early in its history, Seatec used to dedicate a session to the naval sector, concentrating on components and supplying. The next edition of the trade show sets up to recover a subject that, in Italy, boasts an extraordinary record, particularly in the field of cruises, but also of specialised naval vessels of small size.

The access and the use of boats by handicapped people is an issue that is increasingly getting boat designers, manufacturers and suppliers of parts involved. For this reason, the topic will be tackled in a special section, with insights aimed to define proposals, solutions and techniques in a view to expanding to any type of user the possibility to enjoy any kind of boat

Seatec 2017 will offer a rich programme of side events that, with the Qualitec Technology and Qualitec Design Awards, reserved to the products on display, and the Myda, dedicated to nautical design, will represent for the industry a precious tool of analysis. The awards dedicated to exhibitors will highlight the best solutions in design and for technological innovation.

The conferences programme will offer a range of highly technical contents addressing crucial issues related to the new dynamics of marine and composites markets. Special focus will be on alternative propulsion, less polluting fuels, disposal problems, the most recent studies and findings in robotics.

The long and widely experienced invitation in the trade fair to foreign buyers, selected in collaboration with Italian Trade Agency to increase the opportunities for direct contact with Seatec and Compotec exhibitors through B2B meetings, will further expand including representatives of shipbuilding, refit and distribution coming from countries with solid and flourishing naval industries. Representatives of companies that use composite materials are also confirmed, in the framework of an increasingly internationalised trade fair that wants to be consistent with the sector trends.

In the framework of Seatec, a programme of training seminars will be organised in collaboration with qualified partners in a way to give insiders valid opportunities for professional upgrading. The attendance of seminars will grant the assignment of Professional Course Credits. The training contents will be designed according to the needs expressed by the companies and by the professionals of the field, whom will be brought together in a special occasion of mutual growth and benefit.
